Me, Rianna, Amber and Elliot decided we were going to film this advertisement on Friday 18th May 2012. The reason we choose to film then was because it is a day we were all free and had free lessons avalible to film.
We do not need any other extra eqipment becasue it has been provided by the school.
Missing Personnel
We have got actors to act in the advert for us as we are not acting in it. If any of the actors were missing, one of our group agreed to stand in. fortunately everyone was presant but unfortunately me and elliot were absent from filming as Elliot was away with sickness and i had a meeting in school with the career's advisor.
Broken Equipment
If there is any broken equipment we will replace it and pay for the damages if caused by us.
Bad Weather
The weather would not affect our filming as it is being filmed inside.

Locations and work areas
After completing the recces our group all decided to work and film the advertisement in the atrium.
The atrium is located in South Block and is part of the studio where students film their drama performances and use for other various things like art projects and is handy to have a spare room like that in the school. We saw this as an advantage to film in there.

Product Costs
What kind of products would our company have to pay for?
If the advert was being made and filmed by a big international production company it would be different to the kind of cost it would be being filmed in a school as we were filming at our school. In addition to this, we dont have to pay for equipment used in amking the advertisement as it is provided to us whenever we need it as long as we book the time to use it with our group and make sure no other group is using it.
If we was a big company though, we would have to pay for
- Designing materials
- Labour time
- Overhead costs
- Packaging costs
- DVD / Burning costs
- Tripod
- Camera
As we are at school the products we needed which were provided to us were:
- Video Camera. The type of camera we used in filming was a canon HD CMOS
- Tripod to help hold up the camera and keep it steady whilst filming
- Lighting (we used natural light as we filmed in atrium which had a glass roof and the light from the roof was shining through) we didnt use any electrical lights in the class as we did not need any.
- The props was the main point of the advertisement and what it was all about. They were the drawers themselves.
- Editing software, which we did on the macs in the media suite after the filming.
- Camera batteries just in case the batteries ran out whilst we are filming
- Microphones were inclued with the camera
- Computers
- USB to upload from camera to computer so its ready to edit.

Treatment
Treatment is something that creates an effect on the audience and how you do it. For example you can use sound, lighting, camera angles, space in advert, styles of acting e.g. chessey and over the top, genre and editing e.g. short takes.
To start with, we have discussed using music which will give the advert a cheesy feel to it.
The lighting will be bright and natural coming from the roof and its aim is to create a happy atmosphere from the audience as it won't be dark and gloomy which intends not to make a happy atmosphere often.
The camera angle we used to film was the 180 degrees rule which means filming a certain away infront of them holding the camera straight so it looks like they are talking to each other.
There was alot of space around the atrium as it is not a crowded room and I had booked it out the day before for our group to use for the last 3 periods of the day for the filming. We placed the chest of Drawers in the middle of the room so there was room to film around it.
The style of acting was meant to be forced and cheesy to appeal to the audience to bring them in and to make it rememrable to them in a comic funny way. It was meant to be over the top.
The genre of the advert is comedy where we try and make it funny as possible for the audience to watch because if it is funny, they are more likely to remember the product that is being sold and will more likely sell more than if it was a rather unforgettable boring advertisement.
The editing of the advert was short takes to keep the advert in a fast pace so it don't get boring really quick.
The actors we used were asked to act in over the top cheesy American style accents to give the audience some interest.

The finished adverts
The two above videos are our groups final advertisements of the drawers. They were filmed and uploaded by Rianna and edited by Elliot.
We thought as a group it was a good idea to film a long and short version because its more like the adverts on telly as many of them have short ones as well as long ones because we thought at 55 seconds though may be too long to be shown on TV. We got this information by researching adverts on youtube and many were around approximately 30 seconds. The longer adverts could be shown on youtube or other various on demand tv catch ups as that is the place that will guarentee alot of views as everyone loves to catch up online with programes that they miss.
After Elliot had edited these videos we as a group all looked back on them and reviewed to make sure we was all happy with the final product.

Target audience for the advert
Our groups primary target audience for our advert is mainly 20-30 year old males. The reason we choose this is because i think the drawers look fresh and the type of design that a younger person may be interested in. There is suitable space for personal things belonging to them, and space to put products on top which they may need. For example, first time home buyers will be interested.
The secondary audience are people it may appeal to after the primary target audience.
I think these drawers may appeal for university students where the age starts at 18. I think this because they are suitable to fit in the halls of rooms that people will be staying in. It has room for their books which they will need for studies. Another secondry type of auidence i think it may suit are older people who will have collected alot of things through out their life.
Below i have done a target market profile for the drawers.
Age: Between 20 - 30
Gender: Aimed at males (but females will buy aswell)
Race: All races will be interested
Class status: Middle class
Sexuality: All sexualitys
Regional identitys: All religions
Ability and disablity: The product is suitable for people in wheelchairs as it is wheelchair height.
